Tintin and his fellows

Ciao!

This is my new blog. I write here only about travels, which I have done with my friends who belong to my Skype Bible group. We have had this group about three years. We met each other in Ryttylä Bible school. I have been a sports journalist and Tintin was reporter, so that's why this title. :)

I tell you about our travel we made to Sweden. Last year we were in Estonia, so it was nice to see Sweden this time. Anyway Sweden is quite familiar country to me, because I have been there many times with my football team.

We were in Sweden on Monday. Before that on Saturday I went to Ryttylä. There was an event called Peace to Israel. Ilpo ("Ilpperi") and Markus ("Make"), my Bible study fellows, where also there. On Sunday we went together from Ryttylä to Helsinki with my car. One lady jumped into my car from Ryttylä to Helsinki too, so my car was full, because we had a lot of luggage too. After we dropped the lady off in Pasila, we drove near Ilpperis brother's house and left the car there. Ilpperis brother was very friendly, because he drove us to Katajanokka (Viking Line terminal) with his new BMW. I was very pleased and thankful to God that everything went well and we managed to enter to Viking Line Mariella in time.

I liked to spend time with my friends and see them face-to-face. We have used to communicate together only mainly via Skype in last couple years. On Sunday I was a bit tired, because I didn't sleep so well in Ryttylä, so I went to bed very early.

On Monday I had Viking Buffet Breakfast with Ilpperi. There were offered almost everything you can wish to eat for breakfast, so I was full quite quickly. :D

About ten o'clock on Monday we landed to Stockholm. First we walked few kilometers to Saint James's Church. We prayed there together. After that we were planning to go to one Christian Bookstore. We found it quite easily. I was happy about that.

I bought one Swedish New Testament and Psalms from there and gave it to one man on the side of Sergels torg.

We were visiting also in one Ethiopian restaurant. It was quite interesting to visit there, because I have not eaten Ethiopian food before that. Make was born in Addis Abeba. Restaurater was a bit surprised, when Make started to speak Oromo to her. :) I found the food tasty. Wat is traditionally eaten with injera, a spongy flat bread. I paid 99 Swedish Krona for the lunch. I ate the food by Ethiopian way with my hands.

16.30 local time on Monday the ship left from Stockholm to Helsinki. The way back was peaceful. For example we listened some music, Ilpperi read a bit Swedish Bible to us and we bought some candies from Tax-free shop. :) I am thankful to God for this trip! Jesus is always with us!

"And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,
“Great and amazing are your deeds,
    O Lord God the Almighty!
Just and true are your ways,
    O King of the nations!
Who will not fear, O Lord,
    and glorify your name?
For you alone are holy.
    All nations will come
    and worship you,
for your righteous acts have been revealed.”
(Revelation 15:3-4)
